Mission Statement
The mission of Logan Christian Church is to engage and impact our community with the grace and truth of Jesus Christ.
What We Believe
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God and our final authority for what we believe and practice.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12)
(2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12)
God and the Trinity
We believe that the God of the Bible is the only God, the creator and sustainer of all things, and is worthy of all glory. He exists as one God in three persons – the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ),
and the Holy Spirit.
(Genesis 1; John 1:1:1-4, John 14:9-20; Colossians 1:15-20)
and the Holy Spirit.
(Genesis 1; John 1:1:1-4, John 14:9-20; Colossians 1:15-20)
Jesus
We believe that Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God who died for our sins and arose from the dead. He now reigns in heaven, interceding on our behalf.
(John 1:1, 14, 3:16; Romans 8:31-34; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8)
(John 1:1, 14, 3:16; Romans 8:31-34; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8)
Creation
We believe that God created the heavens and the earth in six days
and rested on the seventh day.
(Genesis 1 & 2; Acts 17:24-26; Romans 1:20-25)
and rested on the seventh day.
(Genesis 1 & 2; Acts 17:24-26; Romans 1:20-25)
Marriage
We believe that marriage is created and ordained by God to be a covenant relationship between one man and one woman.
(Gen 2:21-25; Matthew 19:4-6; Ephesians 5:31-33)
(Gen 2:21-25; Matthew 19:4-6; Ephesians 5:31-33)
People and Life
We believe that every person is created by God in His image and has worth from conception forward. We also believe all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
(Genesis 2; Psalm 139:13-16; Romans 3:23)
(Genesis 2; Psalm 139:13-16; Romans 3:23)
Grace
We believe that the forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life are freely given by God to those who through faith trust
Christ to be their Lord and Savior
(Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9)
Christ to be their Lord and Savior
(Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9)
Salvation
We believe that salvation is only available by faith through Jesus Christ. One who receives salvation does so by repenting of their sin and confessing Jesus as Lord. We believe that one's justification is accomplished by faith alone.
(Acts 2:38, 4:12; Romans 10:9-10)
(Acts 2:38, 4:12; Romans 10:9-10)
Baptism
We believe that baptism is the command of Jesus (Matt. 28;18) and an appeal to God for a clean conscience (1 Peter 3:21). We practice baptism by immersion for all those who have made a personal decision to confess Jesus as Lord & Savior through faith.
(Mark 16:15-16; Acts 2:36-38; Romans 6:3-4)
(Mark 16:15-16; Acts 2:36-38; Romans 6:3-4)
Church
We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ on earth, is empowered by the Holy Spirit, and exists to reach out to all people with the life changing message of Jesus Christ.
(Matthew 28:18-20; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21; Ephesians 2:10, 4:11-16)
(Matthew 28:18-20; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21; Ephesians 2:10, 4:11-16)
The Return of Christ
We believe that Jesus will return one day to reign forever as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
(Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
(Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
